Joanna Gorska 
Violin, Piano and Guitar

Joanna Gorska studies violin at the University of Toronto. She is a graduate of the programme for gifted program at the Royal Conservatory of Music. She has won numerous awards and scholarships at various competitions and music festivals in Canada including two gold medals at the Ontario provincial finals, the Rose Bowl at the Kiwanis music festival in London, and first place in the Canadian Music Competition in Vancouver (2015) in her category. As the first place winner of the American Protégé Concerto Competition (2015) she was invited to play at the gala concert in Carnegie Hall, New York. She was featured as a soloist with orchestras in Stratford, Waterloo and Toronto. In 2016 as a member of NYO she performed in Portugal as part of their international tour. Joanna also holds her ARCT piano diploma, and the Ontario gold medal for the highest mark in the province for her RCM grade 8 classical guitar exam.
Nathan Nykor
Piano, Guitar, Ukulele
PictureNathan Nykor is a classical and jazz pianist based in London, Ontario. He holds a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance, as well as a Master’s Degree in Music Theory. Nathan plays in and leads various classical and jazz groups which perform regularly around Ontario. In February of 2023, Nathan was interviewed on JAZZ.FM, a jazz radio station in Toronto, about his experience in both the classical and jazz fields. His compositions and performances were also played on this radio program. Nathan is the bandleader of a London-based ensemble called Juice Joint, which opened for Toronto’s Moneka Arabic Jazz at Wolf Hall in October, 2023. You can hear Nathan on the weekends at a venue in downtown London, or listen to his music on the streaming service of your choice.

Tara Sampson
Guitar, Ukulele and Double Bass

Tara Sampson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Western University (2016) and is currently attending the Faculty of Education at Western University (expected, 2018). She has been studying electric bass and guitar from the age of 12 and double bass from the age of 14. During her undergraduate degree, she was a member of the Western University Jazz Ensemble, Western University Symphony Orchestra, and a member of the Western University Opera Chamber Orchestra, participating in performances of Hansel and Gretal and Falstaff. In addition to her classical studies, she has extensive jazz experience, performing in the pit band for the 2015 Jack Richardson Awards, in addition to making regular appearances at the London Club and the Grad Club. Currently, Tara is the double bassist for Between the Keys, a small jazz group that performs regularly at various public venues around the community, in addition to private events and parties.

Henry Krichker
Violin

Born and educated in Kiev, Ukraine. After graduating from the Kiev Conservatory, Henry joined the Kiev Chamber Orchestra and toured with it throughout Russia, Ukraine, Baltic Republics and Eastern Europe. In 1979, Henry immigrated to Boston where he freelanced with a number of orchestras, such as the Harvard Chamber Orchestra, Boston Pops, and many more. Henry also performed Wagner's "Ring Cycle" with the Boston Lyric Opera. Henry joined Orchestra London in 1982 and was the assistant concertmaster for many years. Henry keeps his passion to teach in his retired life.

Iga Gorska
Piano

Iga Gorska is sharing her passion for music with students of all ages and skill levels. She is a graduate of The State Music School (piano) and the University of Warsaw (Arts an Social Sciences). She's been teaching for more than 20 years both in Europe and Canada. She participated in workshops conducted by prominent pedagogues and pianists. She is teaching classical, jazz and popular music with emphasis on good technique and creativity and has lots of experience in preparing for the RCM exams both practical and theory (Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Rudiments and Harmony). Over the years she's been involved in organizing music and cultural events in her community including the concert featuring the music of F. Chopin in Wolf Performance Hall in 2010. In her free time she writes articles about music for the local newsletter.

Hillary Tufford 
Piano and Voice

Hillary is a dedicated and passionate music teacher and I enjoy teaching people of all ages and musical interests. I have a Masters of Voice Performance from Western University and an Honours Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance, with Gold medal distinction, from Western University. I also have musical training from the Bel Canto Summer Voice Study Institute, Munich, Germany, L'Accademia Europea dell'Opera, Lucca, Italy, and I went through RCM training in piano, voice, theory, and history. I am currently the Director of Music and church pianist at Frome United Church and I am an active performer. Outside of music, I love running, ballroom dance, and spending time with friends and family.

Luba Adamson

Mrs A. has a piano teaching diploma from Conservatory Canada and has been teaching for over 25 years. She has been teaching with us since 2002. She teaches classical, jazz, and popular music and has prepared many students for conservatory exams.

Emer Montaño
Piano and Voice

Emer Montaño holds a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from the National University of Colombia, and holds a Service Playing Certificate in organ from the Royal Canadian College of Organists. Emer has sung in different choirs since his childhood, and in Canada has been a member of Fanshawe Chorus London, the Gerald Fagan Singers and Choir Amica. He is an accomplished accompanist having performed in different recital halls in Colombia and Canada and enjoys collaborating with singers and instrumentalists in a broad variety of musical styles. He has taught piano and voice for many years, and enjoys guiding his students over different styles from classical to popular music, and through the preparation of auditions, festivals and examinations. Emer has been organist and pianist at Holy Family Parish in London since 2011. Emer is fluent in both Spanish and English and is happy to teach in either language.

Meghan Hopkins
Piano and Voice

Mezzo soprano, Meghan Hopkins is pursuing a Masters of Music Education at Western University under the tutelage of Jenny Such. Her roles include Mrs.Ott in Susannah and chorus in Falstaff. Hopkins has participated in several local and provincial competitions including National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and Kiwanis Music Festival. She was placed first in the Kiwanis Female Vocal Solo Competition and chosen as a top singer for Kiwanis Provincial Competition. Meghan is also the recipient of Western University’s Hymn Society Music Award for her academic excellence and involvement in church music, and the Herman Smith Award for academic achievement.
